We want to welcome you to Parkway North and invite you to learn about our quaint neighborhood. We are sure you will find friendly, caring folks who are willing to lend a hand or engage in a chat while strolling our beautiful streets. A group of dedicated volunteers serve on the Parkway North Community Association, Inc. (PNCA) Board of Directors and our various committees. Please review those Committees and volunteer - new members are always appreciated!
Our Historic Beautiful Trees
Please help us protect Amelia Island’s natural environment by refraining from removing trees or other native foliage. The age-old trees produce oxygen cleaning the air, provide shade and remove greenhouse gases lowering the ambient temperature, and attract new residents. Your home on a tree-lined street may be worth 25% more than others on the Island. Please review the document titled 'Guidelines for tree removal' on main Menu.Home Improvement Projects
As you prepare to take on any home improvement, remodeling, landscaping projects, please refer to the Architectural Review Board pages of this site to be sure your project goes through the proper approval process. Please store your trash bins in your garage, a shelter or surrounded by bushes so that they are not visible from the street.
Trash is collected in your City of Fernandina Beach tote on Mondays and Thursdays.
Yard waste is picked up weekly on Thursday and must be containerized or bagged.
Recyclables are collected every Thursday. It's best to keep tops on plastic jars and jugs and be sure they are washed out well. Cardboard, glass, boxes, and newspapers are recyclable. Styrofoam products not recycled.
